Our Vision

Someone who was healthy the day before — struck without warning by fire gas poisoning, left to suffer lasting sequelae, or taken too soon.
Our mission is to eliminate this fear that threatens people everywhere in the world.

Fire incidents claim countless lives every year due to carbon monoxide (CO) and other fire gas poisoning. No antidote acting directly against fire gas poisoning currently exists in clinical practice. Building on hemoCD, a water-soluble artificial hemoglobin compound developed at Doshisha University, our center aims to develop and clinically implement an innovative antidote capable of rapidly neutralizing CO and other toxic gases to treat both acute poisoning and long-term sequelae.

Our Approach

hemoCD exhibits CO affinity approximately 100-fold greater than hemoglobin. Upon IV administration, it rapidly scavenges CO from hemoglobin in the blood, excreting CO-hemoCD in urine. This promptly restores oxygen-carrying capacity, providing direct antidotal efficacy against acute CO poisoning.
